Sailor just watched your video.
Couple Thoughts

1) It should be a real good sign that if the Mayor wants to deny the council to ask questions now, just wait and see what happens when he has an edge in votes. Les Dills answers were the worst. It was alarming and should send up flags especiaaly his city administrator answers. More of the same from the Doty Bunch.

2) Recall Tim Jones. Tim Jones has proven he maybe the biggest screw up on the board.

Well, I don't think that Councilperson Jones has done anything to warrant a recall.

As a side note, I tend to oppose recalls in general. The recent Mayoral recall was the first I've ever supported and that was only because of her long laundry list of statutory violations, her refusal to listen to those who tried to warn her about them and her insistence, even in the face of numerous judicial decisions against her, that she did nothing wrong that forced me to support it.

As for Mr. Schneider and the questions issue, while I sympathize with the frustration of not wanting questions I didn't get the impression that this was nefarious in intent. My take on it was that the Mayor was concerned about having the time to address everything on the agenda. Of course, that's just my opinion.

However, this was a great example of where the power really rests in our city government. The Council voted and we had questions. One question per Council member I believe was a attempt by the Council to take the Mayor's time constraints concerns into account.

What I found odd was that though Councilpersons Owensby, Keller and Jones voted against asking questions only Councilperson Keller remained consistent with her vote and didn't ask any. I find it hard to understand why Councilpersons Owensby and Jones would vote against questions but then decide to ask one of every person interested in the appointment.

Don't ever print anything about my husband again. That goes for every one that visits this trashy site full of lies

1) You will have to clue us in on who your husband is.

2) Please point out any post that has contained a lie. I will be right behind you in asking anyone to backup what they say.

Suzy,

Your absolutely right. If my relative behaved as disingenuously as the COGG/Schneider/ORT/Jones I would be upset by having people point this out in public as well.

I have to admire the Wynette/Clinton "stand-by-my-man" approach in the post by whatgoesaround. Her husband cannot address the so called lies because they are easily documented facts and he knows it.

The old saw of attacking the messenger is the only way these folks have to deal with the paradox between what they want to believe and what is true.

How else can you deal with the fact that your candidate Mike Schneider violated existing campaign finance laws and followed that up with flipping a big F-U to the Supreme Court of Missouri and Missouri Ethics Commission?

Upon the realization that they support a Tupperware Salesman with a questionable entrepreneurial background who shirks his property taxes, ignores campaign finance law, has economic development plan consisting of finding corporate pen-pals by request and using patronage over merit when nominating/hiring people into public service, the only way to rationalize the inconsistencies is by calling those embracing reality liars.

Your sort of like Galileo. The Church could not deny that when looking through a telescope Saturn has moons. Anyone can see it if willing to take a look. Rather than addressing the facts, Galileo became branded a liar and heretic by the Church. It didn't matter to the "old boys" of the time that Galileo was right.

The problem for the COGG/Schneider/ORT/Jones faction is that the members refuse to take a look through the telescope.

Finally, what "goes around" does not necessarily "come around". If having your obvious unethical behavior, blatant pandering and inflated resume exposed to public scrutiny is what you mean to say is "going around", the truth is most of us won't ever have to worry about that type of thing "coming around".

Guess, I'll join / purchase a term of service for the long haul until you kick me out.

Sailor, please consider that Keller couldn't 'think' of anything to ask. Remember, she ran as the 'non candidate' for mayor; she didn't show up for anything to speak before people and published only restoring trash and the decrepit swimming pool. If her ulcer is / was so bad, she should consider resigning.

Then Schneider can appoint Fitzgerald or was it Fitzsimmons the second person he mentioned in the debate at the Lion's hall. The one who later wrote the poison in the Journal against MBC (and his wife wrote also).

All this would be a mute point except the votes Keller received would have made MBC the winner.

Isn't Owensby the 'nice' council person lately? Perhaps because he is up for reelection in April. (NO NO NO !!!) He was with Purzner and the group that hired a lawyer to stop the hiring of a City Administrator in early 2006. Check out the city's website.

Jones is my Ward 4 rep. Not recall, but surely NOT reelection.
He listens to Schneider, Schneider listens to Dody and Munsch for whatever reason. We need independent thinkers.

Who is profiting in a questionable manner or are they just so inept to let Overland's problems get worse and worse?

Overland could have survived even last year IF we had had a good CA.
