Under agenda item number 8, I see mention of purchasing property for a new park. Forgive me if I missed this here previously, but does anyone know exactly where this piece of land is located?
Midland & Woodson.
I think that is where Lester Dills lives.
I guess what I don't understand (aside from the price of this property going up in the last few years at the same time real estate has been going down), is if this truly needs to be workshopped, why do it 15 minutes before the city council meeting?
Or, if it can be discussed and debated in 15 minutes why not just make an exception to "workshopping it" and just do it during the meeting?
I am not really judging or saying it is good or bad, just confused at what the reasoning is behind this.
I concur as I cannot think of a reason why that piece of property would increase in value regardless of market conditions.
