Just when you think Overland has turned a new corner we see the same dishonest and ILLEGAL political Tactics. Whether it was Phil Paul Directly (which I doubt) or some of his supporters, the bottom like is that election laws have once again been broken with a last minute dishonest mailing that violates election laws by not properly identifying who paid for it.The only way to try to end these dishonorable and IMHO un-American tactics is to not reward them. If you were on the fence when it comes the the Ward 1 Council Election let these dishonorable tactics be a lesson to you. Don't return power to the people who would do such things. Vote to Re-Elect Eddie Cuminale and help keep these criminals away from city hall.

Well I finally found the chatroom. I disagree with you sailor. This is a free country and anyone can say or write anything they feel. Except of course racism, cursing, etc. Someone from Ward 1 called and read me a mailed letter about a candidate but everything on it I believe was true. Now what I found disturbing about the election was why would Conlon, May, and O'Connell think for one minute that anyone in Ward 3 would give a hoot as to what these 3 special interest people think of me. I'm referring to their chosen candidates in wards they are not in (localite ad). Talk about having an opinion of oneself! LOL! Tell Conlon to get those shamrocks off her signs and O'Connell to drop the O from the front of his name cause the Irish are good lookin, thin, intelligent and not backstabbers. You can rest assured next year, I'll be against the "scarecrow" and "cowardly lion", as we call them in Ward 3 and just laugh away. One wicked witch gone and one to go. That's what they say here in Ward 3. 166 write-ins, better worry about your own campaign. I expect an apology. I can forgive but will never forget. No need for me to hide behind some made up name. Learn your lessons! Loved the outcome of this election!

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
Where do I start?
First, this is a blog, not a chatroom. I guess that's an example of the 170 IQ at work, right?
Second, this is such a free country that people CAN write things that include racism and cursing. I guess when you tested for that 170 IQ that the US Constitution and Bill of Rights wasn't covered.
Not that I condone racism and/or cursing. It's just not nice. But, not nice language is something Keller seems to excel.
Gosh, there is so much more of Keller's sewage to debunk but I'll leave that for others or, at least, another comment.
I know Keller thrives on hypocrisy, but how can she talk about Conlon's opponent getting votes? Didn't Keller's opponent get a bigger percentage of votes than Conlon's? I'm not sure who should be more worried about their own campaign?
The point you missed PeggyK was that while this is a free country, with Freedom of Speech being one of our most cherished rights, we have election laws. One of the most basic of which is that any campaign material must be mark with who specifically paid for it. 'Ward 1 Residents' is simply not sufficient under the law.
I have to assume that you are not who you claim to be. It would be quite disturbing to learn that an elected official would be so cavalier about people breaking the laws that protect the election process; the integrity of which is crucial for the stability of any elected body.
Are any of you members of COGG? They (cogg) sent out a letter about me, which a constituent gave to me, telling people not to vote for me in the Mayoral election and there is no "paid for by" anywhere on it. I still have the copy. Yet it supported Schneider and Conlon. Was this okay because it supported your candidate/candidates? Sorry Suzy there is no such word as blog in my dictionary so it must be a slang word. As far as the 170 IQ I don't know what you mean by that. Ort, the point I was trying to make was Conlon was unopposed in the election. There were 166 write-ins against her. Which means 166 of her constituents want her out. That is a huge amount for such a small turnout as this election was.
