I thought Les Dills had promised some council members when he was appointed that he would not run again? I might be mistaken or might have been told incorrectly, but it seems like someone likes that seat.

I also want to thank Dick Kmode for throwing his special brand of lunacy into the electoral ring again. I was running short of material.
There will not be a Metrolink line to Westport Plaza during our life-times.
Well you know what they say two out of three ain't too bad.
I'm kind of surprised that more haven't filed yet, but there is still plenty of time until filing closes on January 22. If I recall correctly, Dody filed for Mayor on the last day when he ran the first time in 1998, so last-minute filings aren't out of the question.
I would be kind of surprised if anyone was unopposed, but you never know.
I also expect they will wrap up the CA hiring before the campaign gets into full swing. I suppose they aren't even considering hiring a Director of Public Works or Chief Inspector since we hear NOTHING about either. I did hear they finally hired a full time code enforcement officer. Anyone know anything about that?
